[ yes, Rachel's waiting for Stiles back at the house. their house, which they might share with Scott and Derek but that's still a big deal to her, and something she's still wrapping her head around. the place stopped feeling like just someplace she frequently visited a long time ago, but- well, anyway. she was at home, sitting on the couch, waiting. and waiting. and waiting. she could text him again, but there wasn't much point. he stopped replying and she knew it meant something was happening, and it was seriously killing her to not be there, to not help in whatever way she could, but- having some guy show up from home, that was different than dealing with something from here, wasn't it? Beacon Hills wasn't her home, so things that came from there... she still didn't feel like it was her place to insist on being a part of it, if Stiles told her not to.

when the front door opens and Stiles shows up in the living room, she's up on her feet almost immediately, pulling him in for a tight hug. he smells like smoke and ash and everything else she associates with his power, so she knows he must have- something must have happened, so her expression is all sorts of concerned when she pulls back, reaches up to hold his face ]
