[ Too many times to count. ] It's been a while. [ Especially since they've been in Asgard and with Scott spending every night with Allison. ] It can be just like old times.
Me? I was just retaliating so that I didn't get gassed out by mister I love Mexican.
[But Stiles was getting up and moving to get changed into his pjs in the bathroom before coming out and turning out the light and getting everything all ready for their impromptu sleep over.
He climbed in the bed, moving to make sure he wasn't hogging too much of it.]
M'tired. [ Which was Scott's way of saying he'd rather just... try and get some rest. Even if it meant shutting his eyes and not actually sleeping. He's comforted by the fact that Stiles is right beside him. ] Unless you want to talk? [ Maybe Stiles had things to talk about. ]
[Maybe. But not now. Not with Scott already bummed out. The last thing his usually cheerful buddy needed was more dirt to muddy the water. So he got himself comfortable and closed his own eyes, listening to the familiar sound of Scott breathing.]
[ Is cuddling allowed? Scott wants to cuddle. He puts his arm around his best friend and starts to count sheep in his head. Except he keeps imagining the sheep being ripped apart like the animals at the pet store. ]
[He is secure enough in his masculinity to allow cuddling. He's also aware of the fact that Scott's not falling asleep. He can hear you fake-sleep breathing, buddy.]
[There were a lot of times when Stiles was perfectly happy to pull out the 'I told you so' card. Sometimes he even danced. This was not one of those times.]
Sorry, Scott. I wish I could have gotten there before you.

[He gave Scott a flat look.]
How many times have I crawled in your window to crash over?
[He wasn't going to bring up some of the worse times that had happened, like after his mom got sick and the funeral and... yeah. Scott knew.]

See you in the morning?

You sure you're okay?

You were right. I should have let someone else clean up the pet store before going there.

[He sighed, wishing he had the familiar blue vehicle here. But knowing his luck, a meteor would come smash it if it was here.]
