- ★ NAME: Stiles Stilinski

- ★ CANON INFORMATION: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teen_Wolf_(2011_TV_series)
- ★ PERSONALITY: Stiles' personality can best be described as overly enthusiastic to the point of being off-putting for those that don't know him very well (and sometimes for those that do). Most of the time he has the best interests of those he cares for at heart, but he can lose sight of that while trying to get a bigger and better view of what's going on around him. He's loyal to a literal fault, willing to do things and put himself in harm's way for the people he loves, like going off with Peter to keep him from hurting Lydia anymore, or trying to get to his dad and Scott's mom when they were locked up and the kanima was on the loose while he was mostly paralyzed, or even being willing to die to keep the nogitsune from hurting anyone else.
He's inquisitive and has this need to always know what's going on, like listening in on his dad's phone calls and snooping in his case files; partly because that's just who he is but also because it usually has something to do with the werewolf world he's stumbled into. There was a large part of him that was bothered by not being able to tell his dad about the supernatural aspects in town, especially after Scott's mom found out. He felt as though his dad couldn't do his job properly because he was only looking at a quarter of the picture, which is what prompted him to finally spill the furry beans and fill his dad in on what's really been going on in Beacon Hills the last year. He was and still is worried about his dad getting caught up in werewolf related violence (again) and not walking away from it and that's extended to the supernatural world in general since their sacrifice woke the nematon and started to bring in things that went beyond what any of them were used to. His dad is the only family he has left (that we're aware of) and he's scared of winding up alone. The loss of his mother is something that hit both of the Stilinski men hard, and from the hallucination at Lydia's party, there's a part of Stiles that feels guilty and wonders if his dad blames him for something neither of them could control.
His social standing is higher in his mind than it is in reality. While he does have friends outside of Scott, Scott is without a doubt the Ying to his Yang. The Abbot to his Costello. His partner in crime, as his father prefers to call him. He made a joke in the pilot episode about Scott bringing down his social standing because of Scott's nerdiness, referring to himself as having been 'scarlet nerded'. Whether that's true or not is debatable, but regardless of the truth of it, Stiles would never give up Scott as his best friend for something as trivial as being scarlet nerded. Stiles still manages to get invited to parties with and without Scott, so his social standing isn't under too much duress.
The light of his life was one Lydia Martin, a strawberry blonde creature with green eyes who barely acknowledges his existence. This didn't stop him from pining for her for over ten years, but after her continued relationship with Jackson and then moving on to one of the Alpha twins, Stiles has come to terms with the fact that that road will never be traveled. He has learned to channel that affection into friendship, and the pair of them have actually been able to have conversations and work together for the good of their social group. During the new school year with all of the constant turmoil and Lydia's burgeoning abilities, they've grown closer still and there is a genuine affection that's reciprocated and that Stiles is finding he holds more dear than the idealized puppy love he'd had for her before.
Stiles is a geek at heart. He plays online games, he owns toy guns that light up and make stupid little 'pew pew' noises, he studies mythology and supernatural and cult lore; all before Scott turned it into reality. He's a fan of older movies, especially the classic monster movies, and he has a habit of making pop culture references in a lot of his conversations. He can be insulting, especially to his friends, but he doesn't actually mean anything by it. He talks about how much easier it would be to just let the problem people in their lives die, but when push comes to shove, his nature is to try to keep anyone from actually dying (like treading water for two hours in a pool while keeping Derek afloat when Derek was paralyzed).
Stiles is more of a realist than he lets on. He can see the potential for good and bad in most scenarios and tries to play it out to his (and his friends') advantage. He was offered the bite by Peter Hale and he turned it down. He said he didn't want it but Peter called him out on the lie. This little interaction is something he keeps to himself, not telling anyone else about it and he was hoping that Peter would as well, but Peter's got a big mouth and mentioned it in front of Cora. Sure, he wants to be better than what he is, he wants to get the girl and be stronger and not be the kind of person that people think they can bully and push into walls all the time (something that's happened with an increasing frequency since werewolves came into his life), but there's that part of him that doesn't think he can handle it. That he's not good enough and it's not for him and the bite will kill him, just further pointing out how 'unworthy' he is. There's also the guilt that comes along with being the one that the nogitsune possessed, making him feel like he was the weaker one out of not just the three of them (Allison, Scott, Stiles), but out of their group as a whole since Void seemed to have an easy enough time taking him over, despite the best efforts trying to stop it.
Deaton mentioned that Stiles had a 'spark', and it was what enabled him to make the mountain ash last long enough to finish the circle when he was trying to trap the kanima. He's not sure what the spark is or what it means for him and his friends, but if it can help him, help them in any way, he's going to pester Deaton to tell him all about his potential and what he can do to help. What he can do to be more than just in the way. He does what he can to help Scott as an unofficial member of his 'pack'. Stiles was the one that helped him figure out how to control his shifts and helped him find his anchor (which happened to be Allison). Stiles is the one that looks up the facts and little bits of info that they need when up against something neither of them really understand. As much as he considers himself a weakness, Stiles is the bit of humanity that keeps them mired in the real world.
For Stiles, being referred to as part of Scott's pack is just another way of being called his best friend. He's been there for Scott for better and for worse and just because there happens to be a whole lot of worse lately, that doesn't mean Stiles is just going to walk away from a lifelong friendship that, for him, is more of a familial bond than anything. His family consists of his father and himself, and Scott has been there for better and worse, so Scott, and yes, Scott's mom, have sort of been adopted in his mind into the Stilinski household. Scott is his brother, whether they're bound by blood or not, and Stiles has and will always be fiercely protective and loyal to his family. He doesn't see himself in the same light as Scott anymore though, seeing himself sometimes as more of a liability than as an equal. There's a fear he tries not to share with anyone that he's not going to be good enough. That one day, someone's going to need something from him and he's not going to be good enough or fast enough or strong enough to save them because he's only human. Recently, that's extended to being the reason for anyone being hurt since the people he cares about care back about him just as much, enough to the point where they'd hesitate to react against him when they might need to. It's both a blessing and a curse, since he loves them just as fiercely, but he worries that he's going to be that weak point that brings everything tumbling down.
After the three of them (Scott, Allison, and Stiles) sacrificed themselves for their parents, Stiles has been having consistent nightmares, reminding him of the last time this happened and how that had been right after the death of his mother. He's been in a bit of a downward spiral that he's trying to keep to himself, not wanting to worry either his father or Scott, but a part of him is worried that he's going to meet the same fate as his mom, and that's making him a little more reckless than he otherwise might be, because if he's going to go out, he wants to be sure those he cares about are as safe as he can make them before he does. That was thwarted by Void killing Allison and harming not only his friends, but his dad and anyone else he might tangibly be connected to or have affection for in the creature's need for chaos. While they came out of that relatively on top, there's still a loss to deal with and that will take a long while, and it's something that even though he technically knows he's not responsible for, he will still feel the guilt of since it was 'his hand' that led the Oni and his face that the nogitsune wore when it directed them to kill Allison and Aiden, not to mention the many other lives lost from its attacks and games. This is something he's dealing with and trying to come to terms with, to compartmentalize and rationalize as not having been his fault, but he's taking a bit of time to actually believe himself.
- ★ COURT ALLIANCE: I want to say Seelie, since out of the alignment scale there, I'd say Stiles falls under the Chaotic Good category more than anything. He'll defy the law and rules to do what he feels is right, even if it's sometimes a little wrong. He's a bit of a trickster, but he's also loyal and cares deeply for his loved ones. He doesn't go against convention intentionally just for kicks (not drastically anyway), but he will do it knowingly if he feels there's a reason for it.
- ★ ABILITIES: As an average human, Stiles has no supernatural or magical abilities whatsoever. He's good at research and seems to always have a fount of lore and mythology knowledge at the tip of his fingers because of his interest in the subjects and his gaming. He's good at thinking outside the box and coming up with innovative ideas. He's also good at seeing through the lies to the truth behind it.
- ★ INVENTORY: iPhone, keys to his house and jeep, clothing, pack of gum.

- ★ LOG SAMPLE:
During the last year, Stiles has been starting to feel like 'normal' was this abstract concept that he was never going to full understand again. This wasn't helping argue that. Werewolves and kitsunes and demonic foxes that possessed you and made you vomit yourself up were beginning to be his normal, and now he could add being sucked into some weird fairy land to the list. It almost felt like there was some sort of supernatural bingo card he was checking off. All he needed now was a unicorn, a gryphon, and an angel and then Yahtzee! No, wait, Bingo! Either way, Stiles was standing in the room that was apparently 'his' in this giant castle filled with, yep, you guessed it, fairies.
He'd done a sort of general nosy poking around to see if maybe he hadn't been the only one to be taken, because really, when was it ever just one of them? He hadn't found anyone, yet, but he wasn't giving up on the idea that one of his friends might be here as well, even if he kind of hoped they weren't. The breaks they'd been getting between one giant clustercrap and the next were getting shorter and he knew they needed some downtime after the last one. It had been too... too. Too much, too big, too painful. Getting over it and trying to move on was easy to fake, but having to move right into more craziness was just going to wear on them. And yet, the things that kept coming didn't seem to care. It was like some deity up above was having a good laugh seeing how much their town, their group could take in terms of tragedy and stress before they broke. He hoped if there was something up there, it got a nasty case of hemorrhoids. Or died. Dying would be good.
Stiles had been sort of staring vacantly out of the window for the last little while, brain trying to process all of this and put it into something he could focus on. Right. Okay. Fairies. Unseelie and Seelie. It made him think of Lydia and how banshees were bean sidhe in the celtic lore -- the wailing woman, woman of the fairies. It made him wonder if this was more about her than him and he'd just been taken along for the ride. He wanted to go looking for her, and hopefully Scott and whoever else might have wound up here again, but he hadn't had any luck reaching them on the little dingly locket thing he'd been given. He was a little bit dubious about magic, but it was a knee-jerk reaction, something he was getting over in light of everything else that was his life lately. Maybe later. He'd try again later.
He yawned for the eighth time in a row, finally admitting to himself that he needed to at least grab a quick nap before he went looking for anyone. He'd do a great job of finding people if he fell asleep while doing it. At least the room had a bed and look, no five point restraining strap system attached. How inviting. Crawling on top of the blankets and lying down, face buried in the pillow for a moment, he turned it to the side and let out a breath, eyes feeling heavier the longer he laid there. Just a little nap, then he'd go find Scott and Lydia. If they were here. Just... just a little nap.
