[The hairs at the back of his neck are standing up, evil detection pinging wildly through his brain. And yet, someone's feeling high on their horse at the moment, so his fingers move even though his brain screams.]
[The benefit of living with Erica is that she happens to be right next door to Scott and Stiles. She doesn't really have a lot else to do with her day. So it's no big deal for her just sit and wait and watch until she catches Stiles on his way into or out of his house.
And when she does, surging forward with that nice bit of speed Thor gave her, with a fist aimed right for his shoulder.
[It was a squawk from the dragon on his shoulder that clued him into something coming at him in a blur. Cora wasn't his first thought as to what the threat was, so, he did what he'd do when faced with any sort of danger in the city; he promptly burst into flames.
Cora Hale, meet the human torch, only with less burly muscles and flying ability.]
[Not a mauling. She doesn't dislike you that much (not at all really, just when you're being a tool WHICH YOU WERE, B T DUBS), but all the same she's just still sort of stunned by the sudden fire that she barely came out with the words until he comes up with a comment that's so stupid and glib and Stiles that she pulls herself together.]
That would be my power, you little speedster. You got speed? I got fire. And like I said, I've dabbled with it enough that I'm kind of top tier with it, so...
[Hale chirped when another dragon appeared in the air in between the two teenagers, this one made of fire. It 'flew' around Stiles, swatting playfully at Hale who leaped off to do a few aerial maneuvers with it before Stiles dissipated it.]
[She is really getting sick of you saying that. She takes a few steps closer once the the fire dragon has dissipated, holding eye contact with him the entire time. She doesn't say anything, just stares him down, in the way that Hales do, almost as though she's making sure that he really wants to leave that where it stands.]
[Sorry, Cora, but since dealing with a body stealing demon fox and firebug ninjas, his ability to physically stand up to things has gone up a few degrees. He just gives her a completely casual look, like he knows what he is here compared to back home and he's standing by it.]
[While the narration is proud of Stiles's new sense of self, Cora is still going to punch him anyway. It's at a completely normal speed and she's only going for his shoulder because she's not out to break his nose or anything, but she thinks his ego could stand to be deflated a little.
She also doesn't really know about all that crap. Someone should tell her about it sometime. It won't be Derek.]
[It won't be Stiles, either. He's been keeping pretty much everything that happened to himself, including a certain death that he wishes to god he could prevent.
He takes the hit, knows he kind of deserves it, but Hale squawks, landing on Stiles' shoulder and hissing at her, wings spreading to make himself look bigger.]
Hale? [Internal cringe at the name] He was a Christmas gift from Rachel. She has the Draw Life ability, so she can pretty much doodle up whatever she wants and just pull it off the paper. Food included. It's literally the best thing ever.
[There was a wolf cub named Cora and a dragon named Hale.
Stiles.
She's going to give you a bit of a look for that, but moving on.]
Erica said you were in Odin. Does that mean everyone in Odin can do ... that?
[She means setting yourself on fire, because she's fully prepared to basically avoid Odin people at this point. Except for Stiles because she has a feeling he won't give her a choice.]
[HIDEY HO, NEIGHBORINO!! No, you have no choice, Cora.]
What, fire? No. Each house has two, uh, powers, I guess. You're in what, Thor? Speed and strength. Odin has fire and ice. Lydia's in Odin, too, and she got ice. Allison and Scott both have Disney Princess powers from Freya. Isaac and Erica are in Hel and have, uh, shadow powers and body control. And... Derek's in Thor too. He had strength when he was here before. Don't know if he still does now. My dad was in Heimdall when he was here.
[Yeah, that's what she figured. She takes in all that information, matching it up with the houses that Erica told her earlier. She doesn't know enough about mythology to make sense of all of it, but for the most part it seems to make sense.]
Peter's in Loki. Derek said he had telepathy.
[Because she knows Stiles and she knows Peter, and she knows that explosions are bound to happen at some point or maybe they already did, who knows. But this is backtag land and Peter is still an issue.]
[She fights the urge to eye roll, hard because, yes, she gets that Peter is a douchebag, but he's also her uncle and some of the only family she has left so having him here, even when she's not really sure if he's okay, has been kind of comforting.
Emphasis on the kind of.
But she doesn't push the issue because she knows how most people feel about Peter.]
He's still here. But when I last saw him, he was ... off. Like he wasn't remembering things properly.

[Yep, still a Hale. Still super violent.]

[Oops. He'd almost mentioned Malia.]

I still think I could manage.
[She's a very determined person. She can deal with whatever powers you got. Until she finds out it's fire and then promptly freaks out.]
no subject
[Oh my god, Stiles. Shut up.]
no subject
You're the man.
[Do not affirm that, Stiles. You are asking for trouble and she probably knows where you live at this point.]
no subject
Yes. I am.
if this is not okay, let me know
And when she does, surging forward with that nice bit of speed Thor gave her, with a fist aimed right for his shoulder.
The man, her ass.]
Likewise
Cora Hale, meet the human torch, only with less burly muscles and flying ability.]
all good
Thankfully she's still moving so when she sees the fire she misses him and manages to skid to a stop a few feet away, eyes wide in horror.]
Jesus Christ!

[Oh. Well. Okay, so maybe he'd just saved himself from a mauling, even if she didn't still sprout claws and fangs.
The flames died down and he looked over at her with complete innocence.]
I didn't see you there.
[LIIIIIIIIIES]

What the hell was that?

Her attention is drawn to the dragon for a moment, and eyes him back.]
Where'd you get that?

Peter can also suck it. Hard. And then choke on it.
